Ece Uyar Aktaş

Ece graduated from Izmir University of Economics with a bachelor’s degree in architecture in 2010. She has been involved in several workshops and competitions during her studies and her projects have been exhibited in various locations throughout Turkey.


After receiving her bachelor’s of architecture, Ece lectured numerous times in architectural design studios at the Izmir University of Economics. 


Ece then continued on to receive her master’s degree in architecture at the Institute of Technology, where she specialized in socio-cultural studies in architecture.


In 2015, Ece founded Bej Architects, providing architectural and interior design services throughout Turkey and abroad. 


In 2021, Ece and her firm, Bej Architects, decided to team with Barron and his firm, Schimberg Group, to produce collaborative projects both within the United States, Turkey and throughout Europe. 


Ece is multi-lingual in English, French, Italian and Turkish.


Outside of work, Ece has been playing piano since childhood. For the last three years she has been interested in Pilates. She loves travelling around the world and exploring different cultures and cuisines.
