The inspiration for this island-style residence emerged from the client’s memories of living in the Bahamas and a desire for a unique, contemporary home.

Schimberg Group blended island design components like deep balconies, horizontal siding, rich wood soffits, decorative wood brackets and Bahama shutters with modern elements including oversized roof overhangs, angular lines and architectural columns reaching from ground to roof. Views of Sarasota Bay and an iconic bridge are showcased throughout the indoor/ outdoor living spaces. An entry drive, topped with concrete mixed with shells, was deliberately offset to allow for a beautifully landscaped front yard, rare on Siesta Key. Three-foot high tabby stone forms a base around the entire home, which is painted stark white with accents of pastel blues and greens reflecting the rectangular aqua pool.
