Selma Göker Wilson

Project Manager

As a child, Selma was always making things, creating what she could from the materials she had at hand. She was inspired to pursue a career in architecture the first time she visited an architect’s office. She saw the role of the architect as the glue that holds everything together — with vision and control for a project and a team.

With more than 25 years in the industry, she looks for opportunities to make indispensable architecture. She prides herself on generating change and transformation, leading to a better place with each project.

Within Schimberg Group, Selma plays a role in the designs, while also being responsible for preparing CAD drawings, researching project details, and writing specifications to complete design and construction documentation for clients.

Understanding a client’s questions from their vantage point, Selma enjoys the dialogue and discovery that comes with each new project. She makes it a priority to communicate with clients, consultants, vendors, manufacturers, and building officials throughout a project.

Selma embraces the opportunity to ask the "big questions," challenge the team, and pursue solutions that enrich each client’s experience and create architecture that is integral to the client's identity and operation.

Having lived in various countries, Selma is multi-lingual, speaking both Japanese and Turkish and has a cross-cultural perspective that enriches her work. She takes inspiration from music. Like architecture, music requires great skill to perform, yet both are easy for all to appreciate and enjoy.
