Schimberg Group is proud of our work with Whole Foods Market. We have completed three stores in Florida, working with the chain to create stores that reflect the characteristics of their locations, and excel in responsible and sustainable design.

Whole Foods Bayhill

Located in close proximity to Disney World in Orlando, this location's design borrows from the Disney concept of creating large, recognizable shapes to locate oneself from anywhere in the store. The colorful, circular soffits allow patrons to navigate and orient themselves throughout the store 

Whole Foods Naples

Located on the southwest coast of Florida, Naples is famous for its beaches, blue waters and subtle waves. These local elements were reflected in the design of the perimeter soffit as a wavy, horizontal band over each department that helps customers navigate the store intuitively. 

Whole Foods Sarasota

Schimberg Group’s first LEED project, the Sarasota location is recognized as the first LEED Silver Certified Grocery Store in the Whole Foods chain and one of the first in the country.

With an abundance of skylights, an 8,000 gallon water system that captures and filters roof water for use in the store, and recycled materials including newspaper-based walls, wheatboard signage and recycled tile, this store is the benchmark for all grocery stores to design responsibly and sustainably.
