The Sandbar Restaurant is wildly successful as a tourist destination, local favorite and an Old Florida institution. The Sandbar has successfully expanded, renovated and remodeled to accentuate a genuinely spectacular Gulf of Mexico location and a beach modern interior.

The design holds fast to the structure’s rustic roots while infusing a contemporary interior. To play off of the colors of the beach and the Gulf of Mexico, Schimberg Group combined contemporary graphic fabric patterns with dark wood chairs.

A shabby chic wood ceiling warms a chiseled and sleek sisal-like Chilewich floor system. Painted sand pail light fixtures from Etsy with antique bulbs provide light over a honed, poured terrazzo bar top.

Patrons, both old and new say, “It’s just like the original restaurant, but better.” Sales after the renovation have exceeded prior year revenues by 30%.
